Punjab College of Education is affiliated to Punjabi University Patiala & SCERT Punjab, Approved by NCTE and Accredited by NAAC. The college provides ample facilities for development of an integrated personality. It has fine libraries containing more than twenty thousand books. The College has playing fields for out-door games like Tennis, Basketball, Football, Volley Ball, Khokho on the College Campus.

Student groups and Clubs play a vital role in the total life of the College. For each subject there is a group which sponsors extra-curricular lectures and discussion and in general, tries to stimulate interest in the subject. There are many other academic and cultural societies and clubs covering a wide range of activities, such as debating, dramatics, seminars, social service, ICT, electronics etc.

The College awards each year a number of prizes to students for high achievement in academic & extra-curricular activities. Scholarships and other financial aid are given to deserving students on the basis of need-cum-merit.
