The ETT program shall be of a duration of two academic years. However, the students shall be permitted to complete the program within a maximum period of three years form the date of admission to the program. ETT program aims to prepare teachers for the elementary stage of education, i.e. classes I to VIII.
The aim of elementary education is to fulfill the basic learning needs o all children in an inclusive school environment bridging social and gender gaps with the active participation of the community. The Program carries different nomenclatures such as ETT, BTC, JBT, D.Ed and D.El.Ed. The Affiliating body for the ETT program shall be SCERT Punjab. The course curriculum/syllabus shall be as prescribed by the SCERT Punjab /NCTE
Eligibility for Admission to ETT Programmes
Candidates with at least 50% marks in the higher secondary(+2) or its equivalent examination are eligible for admission to ETT program.Any other eligibility condition imposed by SCERT Punjab /NCTE shall be applicable from time to time
NOTE: The reservation and relaxation of 5% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD and other categories shall be as per the rules of the Central State government.
Admission to ETT Programmes
Admission shall be made on merit on the basis of the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and /or in the entrance test /Online Counseling or any other selection process of the State Govt./Federation of Self Financed Colleges of Education Punjab .whichever is applicable.
Management Quota Seats
Admission to 15% Management Quota Seats in B.ED and ETT shall be filled up by the College Managemant on the basis of merit in Qulalifying examination or any other screening process as decided from time to tiem by the College Management
